Not so long ago, the choice of colours for composite kitchen worktops was relatively limited to more uniform shades and fairly simple patterns. Today, the landscape looks completely different, certainly at Diresco. Whether in terms of colours, collections or design patterns, suppliers and end customers have a wide range of options at their disposal. This is the direct result of our commitment to technological innovation and our dedicated R&D team working behind the scenes.
Keeping pace with market demands
If you ask our R&D colleagues why our range of colours and shades is so much more extensive today than it was, say, a decade ago, they will tell you that the market has gradually come to seek something different. More specifically, designs with greater character and variation in the sheet material.
So we rapidly adapted our R&D and production processes to meet this demand, and we engaged in dialogue with our own professional network, which includes many interior architects and design experts. This resulted in a wealth of new design ideas and inspiration for new collections. As a result, the refreshing Noblesse, Terrazzo and Cava collections were soon launched.
Innovation makes (many) new colours possible
A key factor in that drive forward? Technological innovation. Not long after, we installed a completely new production line, enabling us to apply virtually any design to our composite panels using a high-tech sublimation process.
We even dedicated an entire collection to it: our Sublime range. A highly detailed visual replica of popular natural stone collections such as:
A colour for every kitchen style
Combined with our existing top collections, we can now guarantee an incredibly wide range of colours. Think of kitchen worktops in the more subtle, earthy tones of our Belgian and Nature collections, right through to, for example, our sleeker Whites designs.
The search for new designs never stops at Diresco
Over the past few years, we have launched a great many new designs and technologies at Diresco. Thanks to our close ties with architects, interior designers, kitchen fitters, distributors and international design experts, we are also constantly gaining new insights, directly from the market:
- Which colours are becoming more popular?
- Which natural stone looks are popular these days?
- Which styles are likely to become increasingly prevalent in interior design over the coming year?
- Are there any customers who would like to experiment with a variation on an existing collection, or even with something completely new?

- All the information and inspiration we gain from this thus forms the basis for new developments in the future. Meanwhile, the interplay between market insights, in-house expertise and technological innovations continues to run at full speed at Diresco.
