Carbon neutral by 2030

Diresco is a leading Belgian family business with a fully centralised production site in Oudsbergen, Limburg.
Low-carbon logistics
We source raw materials locally whenever possible to guarantee logistics procedures with minimal CO2 impact.
100% confidence in bio-resin
Diresco composite consists of a mix of mineral aggregates, colour pigments and bio-resins. The latter consist of plant-based ingredients, adding a hidden ‘green’ element to all our products.
90% reuse of rinse water
Water is crucial for polishing our composite panels in their initially rough and uneven state. What do we do with the rinse water when it’s done? We reuse up to 90% of it! Our on-site water plant purifies approximately 650 m3 daily for reuse.
From polishing slurry to new roads
The polishing process creates what the industry calls ‘sludge’. This sludge is processed into cassettes and foundations for road construction. But that’s only a beginning. We are always on the lookout for new, innovative applications for slurry.
1,344 solar panels on our production halls
Solar power will reduce Diresco’s carbon emissions by 3,600 tonnes over a 20-year period, good for 14 healthy hectares of forest or 7,000 happy trees. In a similar vein, our production halls and offices are all equipped with smart LED lights to cut our energy consumption.
Diresco’s own unique technology offers the best in Bio-UV protection
Diresco composite stands out from the competition because it’s enhanced by Bio-UV technology, an innovative solution developed entirely in-house.
By adding UV stabilisers to the plant-based bio-resins used, we create a composite variant that – unlike equivalent materials – is less likely to discolour due to sunlight. What’s more, our Bio-UV technology reduces the CO2 of every individually produced composite panel by as much as 65 kg. That’s technology and ecology serving one another for higher quality and sustainability, the way they should!
